Beyond the Window: The Panel Track as a Technical Solution in 2026

In the modern architecture of open spaces (lofts, “open concept” offices, large living rooms opening onto gardens), professionals often face a problem: How do I cover a 5-meter window without installing three roller blinds that leave “light gaps” between them?

The technical answer isn’t new, but it is unbeatable: the Panel Track System.

At Rutperfil, we champion this system not just as a curtain, but as a movable wall. Thanks to our multiple-profile engineering, we offer a robust solution for where roller blinds fall short.

Profile Engineering: From 2 to 5 Ways

The key to a good Panel Track isn’t the fabric, it’s the rail. If the aluminum isn’t quality or the channel design is poor, the panels get stuck and overlap.

Our system is designed with high-quality extruded aluminum and offers versatility unique to the market:

• True Multi-channel: We have profiles with 2, 3, 4, and up to 5 ways (Ref. 420562).

• Why it matters: A 5-way rail allows all panels to stack in a minimal space (one-fifth of the total width), maximizing light entry and views when open.

• Architectural Finishes: Available in White, Anodized (Silver Grey), and Black. Matte black is an absolute trend to match the framing of modern “industrial style” windows.

Star Application: Space Separation

This is where this system shines for Interior Designers and Architects. The Rutperfil Panel Track is the economical and aesthetic alternative to mobile partitions or sliding glass doors.

• In Offices: To create ephemeral meeting rooms.

• In Hospitals and Clinics: To separate boxes with a cleaner aesthetic than traditional medical curtains.

• In the Home: To hide walk-in closets or workspaces.

Thanks to the fabric holder profile with Velcro, the client can change the aesthetic (the fabric) easily for washing or updating the decor, while maintaining the same robust hardware for decades.

Total Opening Flexibility

Our technical system allows the opening configuration to be tailored to the room’s passage needs:

• Central Opening: Ideal for symmetrical windows.
• Side Opening (Left or Right): For terrace exit doors.
• Both Sides Opening: Total management of solar control.
